Join our expert guide on Wednesday 23 April 2025 for an exclusive tour in celebration of Turner 250, a year-long celebration to mark 250 years since the birth of Joseph Mallord William Turner, one of the most influential and significant artists in British history.
This exclusive tour offers the opportunity to delve deeper into the three Turner paintings held in our collection. Held on the anniversary of Turner’s birthday (23 April 1775), learn more about the close friendship between J M W Turner and Sir John Soane, and explore Turner’s famous paintings in Museum spaces not always open to the general public.
About the event
- The tour will last approximately 50 minutes and there are 8 places available.
- Please note that the tour begins at 9 am prompt. Please convene outside the No.13 door of the Museum 10 minutes before the start time, where a member of our team will greet you and escort the group into the Museum. You will be asked to put any small bags into our biodegradable clear bags to enter the Museum; alternatively, for bags that don't fit into our biodegradable bags, you will be asked to leave them in our cloakroom.
- Following the tour, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the Museum when it opens to the public at 10 am.

- After purchase, you will receive a confirmation email which acts as your ticket. Please note that we do not issue physical tickets. When you arrive on the day, your name will be on our list.
