Nika Neelova’s new sculptural installation presents the Museum as a magical place which allows communication across obliterating sweeps of time. This work is based on research undertaken during her time as Artist in Residence at Sir John Soane’s Museum in Spring 2024. The artist has taken inspiration from Soane’s famous visions of his Museum in ruins, his interest in magic, and the mysterious, romantic light effects he achieved with coloured glass. Neelova will create an artist’s audio guide to the Museum which will be launched at a special Late event on 28 March 2025.
