Explore the power of architecture in this two-day architectural design course inspired by the work of 2022 Soane Medal winner Peter Barber and his belief that “public space belongs to no one and everyone at the same time”.
We invite interested students to explore the potential of the street to host a vibrant local culture and 24-hour occupancy. How can the street offer an inventive, innovative, high quality and affordable solution to all? Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan said “the street is the building block of the city”: use your knowledge and experience of the street to kickstart a potential career in architecture or the built environment.
Sessions will include site tours and model making. Places are £20 per person, full bursaries available on request.
